2021 Open Finals – Results so far…
A Great turnout for finals day.
So, most of the results are in.
Jack Pegden beat Rees Mabberly 5-7, 6-0, 6-0 in the Mens Singles
10yrs of commitment and dedication culminated in Jack achieving a lifetime goal of winning the Margate Open this weekend.
The quality of tennis on display from both players was truly exceptional and the prospect of long lasting rivalry between these two is truly exciting.

James Cave beat Tony Debling in the Mens Plate
Congratulations to James on a fabulous win in the Plate Final.
Tony put up a fantastic fight right up to the end.

Gavid Vickers and Jack Pegden beat Reece Mabberly and James Wright in the Mens Doubles
For the first time perhaps ever, there were x4 previous Men’s Singles Champions in the Men’s Doubles Final 2021.
It turned out to be a proper classic with blistering rallies, serve and volley, touch and power.
In a competitive match Jack and Gavid successfully defended their title.

James Wright and Carla Warden beat Gavid Vickers and Lynn Giles in the Mixed Doubles
Into the Mixed Final where Carla and James produced a flawless performance to subdue the experienced duo of Gavid and Lynn.
A thoroughly well deserved victory
Lynn Giles beat Mary Carewe 6-0, 6-0 in the Ladies Singles
The match started nip and tuck but the experienced Lynn Giles pulled away in the Ladies finals to beat new member Mary Carewe. Dont be fooled by the score line, it was a close game decided by Lynn’s consistent accuracy.
