Firstly I would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all our members for your patience and understanding over these past 16 months.
Although it has been rather challenging, your committee worked tirelessly behind the scenes to enable tennis to restart at every opportunity that we have been able to play. Decisions were always made to ultimately safeguard the welfare of all our members.
The move to return to play on Monday 19th July 2021 sees that most legal restrictions have been lifted. Socialising before or after matches is now permitted. So as from Thursday 22nd July 2021 the clubhouse can be open not just for the use of toilet facilities but for the purchase of drinks and snacks from the bar.
Although face coverings are no longer required by law, the Kent LTA advises that all adult members/visitors should continue to wear them in enclosed settings to protect yourself and others, unless you are medically exempt. With this in mind the wearing of face coverings when moving around the clubhouse will be continued to be worn and will be reviewed in a month’s time. As you are aware Covid-19 is still prevalent and at all times the safety and well being of all our members is paramount. Please also continue to use the hand sanitisers located inside the clubhouse and by the entrance of each court to ensure that our venue is as Covid secure as possible.
We still need to keep a record of who comes in and out of the club, be this in the form of clubspark for court bookings, coaching, club social sessions etc and a manual record of those in the club house.
Thank you for your continuing support.
