Play resumes Dec 2nd 2020

We are still awaiting absolute confirmation from the LTA concerning full advisory measures, but in the meantime we can confirm the latest advice as follows:

1. PLAY.

Single and doubles play can resume as of Wednesday 2nd December with a maximum bubble of 6 as previously confirmed.

On current LTA advice we are only permitted to have a maximum of 12 adult Members for organised social Tennis/Club nights, to save disappointment please ensure you book early under the coaching section on Clubspark. We are watching this advice carefully and hope that this ruling will eventually be further relaxed.

As Kent is in Tier 3, we are asking that members playing prior to Junior coaching on Saturday morning please vacate the premises by 9.50 to avoid the arrival of Juniors.

Until further notice please be advised that Thursday Clubnight will start at 6.45 pm, this will give ample time for our juniors to leave the premises after their coaching session.

It is absolutey essential that all players leave their courts on time and for arriving members please do not enter court until previous players have left. (Strictly no spectators or group gatherings on Club premises)

The floodlight Bulbs on courts 1 & 2 have all been replaced during lockdown therfefore all courts lighting is now fully funcional. The Coin operated token vending machine has been installed inside the middle hut, this will improve accessibility for tokens. The middle hut will be open during the following times to enable members to access the machine:

Monday Social (See Glenis or Chris), Tuesday evening Clubnight (See Jenny) , during the day whilst Dave and Reece are Coaching , Thursday Clubnight (See Gavid).

This should give members ample opportunity to acquire tokens. Coins required for Tokens machine = 1 pound, 2 pounds and 50 pence coins. Each token is £2 which gives half an hour of lighting.

The ladies toilet water leak has been repaired and a low level cistern has been installed,

Could all members please respect the toilets and ensure that they are cleansed after use. It is an absolute dictate that our toilets are kept clean and failure to do so will result in the closure of these facilities.

The three main court hand sanitisers are full, please use them when entering and leaving courts, it is essential that we take every precaution possible at this difficult time.

I will of course keep you informed of any further changes as we receive them from the LTA.

Finally I would like to take this opportunity to thank Peter Ferguson, Roy, Chris Warren, Gavid, Dave, Glenis, Dave Hughes Grounds Toilets and help with Coin op machine, Lynn and our cleaner Janice who have all been busy working behind the scenes during lockdown to ensure that the Club is well prepared for the return to Tennis this Wednesday, without them we would not be going back.  “THANK YOU”

Stay Safe and enjoy your Tennis

Best Wishes
