Margate is currently putting a lot of time and effort into making coaching a big part of the club, especially for juniors.
Take a look below for more details then why not come along and join in the fun.


There will be a series of Tournaments run through the Winter for all Junior members to enter. The Tournaments are colour coded depended on the level of play required enabling all players to enjoy the experience.

Margate Lawn Tennis Club is delighted to announce that an excellent new Tennis Coach is joining the club.
Stephen Rust is currently LTA qualified to Level 2 Coach and will be starting his Level 3 Coaching Qualification with the LTA in November 2011.When he completes the course, by March 2012, he will be an LTA licensed Coach and able to coach adults too. As you can imagine, Stephen is already highly qualified and comes with lots of new, innovative coaching schemes which will both improve your child's ability and ensure they enjoy the experience. The intention is for Stephen to become Head Coach, taking up the role in a full time capacity giving us a long term coaching setup. Stephen is currently injured, he will be the one hobbling around with a cast on his leg, and is expected to be fully fit in four weeks time. In the meantime Stephen will be coming along to the existing Coaching Sessions to gain first hand experience of the current structure and offer any advice. As parents please feel free to approach him to discuss any aspects of the coaching.
